Spanish abstract The purpose of this article is to make a qualitative diagnosis on the transformations in the journalistic practice experienced by information professionals in the Veracruz-Boca del Río metropolitan area, for this purpose, semi-structured interviews were conducted with journalists from Veracruz based on the design of a questionnaire with four different dimensions, These interviews were used to recover what the incidence of the COVID 19 pandemic has transformed in the journalistic practices of a port where not only health has been reflected as a dimension of change, but also violence itself, being one of the most devastated regions of the state of Veracruz and of the country itself. Preliminary results indicate that the technological components, as well as the official dispositions and those of the companies where journalists work, have meant a change in the way they approach their work.
