| Spanish abstract | Con motivo de la celebración de los 40 años de la Revista Interamericana de Bibliotecología, es pertinente recordar cómo se asumió la actual dirección de la Revista: en qué panorama se encontraba, cuáles eran y cómo se superaron muchos de los inconvenientes a los que había que hacerle frente en aquel entonces. En el número anterior se hizo un recorrido histórico y se recordaron los equipos y comités editoriales que han contribuido a que la RIB aún esté vigente. En esta oportunidad, nos concentraremos en el proceso editorial que se ha llevado a cabo desde 2013 y la proyección para enfrentar los cambios que plantea el modelo de comunicación científica actual, porque es claro que cada cambio de época y avance tecnológico ha representado, y representa, un nuevo reto para el Equipo Editorial de la RIB |
| English abstract | On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Revista Interamericana de Bibliotecología, it is pertinent to remember how the current direction of the Journal was assumed: Which were the disadvantages faced back then and how were they overcome. In the previous issue, a historical tour was made and editorial committees and teams that have contributed to the RIB continue were remembered. In this opportunity, we will focus on the editorial process carried out since 2013, and on the projection to face the changes posed by the current scientific communication model, because it is clear that each change of time and technological advance have represented, and represent, a new challenge for the Editorial Team of the RIB |
