| English abstract | The overall drug phenomenon is situated by wars, famine and extreme poverty, among the four major scourges of humanity at the beginning of this millennium. This health problem is approached from different angles like arts. In different historical periods and artistic movements, its proponents reflect, through their work or conduct, his vision for drug addiction. The aim of the study is to characterize the elements from a medical point of view are present in some of the works of painting, music, literature and authors who address the issue of drug addiction, in different historical stages of development of the humanity. It is concluded that the artistic manifestations are analyzed reflects the psychosocial phenomenon of addictions. |
| Spanish abstract | El fenómeno global de las drogas está situado, junto a las guerras, la hambruna y la miseria extrema, entre los cuatro grandes flagelos de la humanidad al comenzar el presente milenio. Este problema de salud fue abordado desde diferentes aristas dentro de las que se encuentra el arte. En distintas épocas históricas y movimientos artísticos, sus exponentes reflejan, a través de sus obras o conducta, su visión respecto a la drogadicción. El objetivo del estudio fue caracterizar los elementos que desde el un punto de vista médico están presentes en algunas de las obras de la pintura, la música, literatura y sus autores, que abordan el tema de la drogadicción, en diferentes momentos históricos del desarrollo de la humanidad. Se concluyó que las manifestaciones artísticas analizadas son un reflejo del fenómeno psicosocial de las adicciones. |
