English abstract | The purpose of this paper is to report the experience of giving, on higher edu - cation, the elective course “History Teaching and the Indigenous Question”, created from the 11.465/2008 Law, which establishes, on primary and sec - ondary education, working with content related to the history of Brazilian indig - enous peoples as compulsory.
