| Spanish abstract | Este artículo, da cuenta de las acciones realizadas por el Programa de Aprendizaje y Servicio de la Universidad de Santiago de Chile, durante el año 2010, espacio integrado por un equipo de profesores de distintas disciplinas que se reúnen para implementar la metodología solidaria de Aprendizaje y Servicio, desarrollando el protagonismo de los estudiantes universitarios al reestructurar los programas de estudios con el servicio solidario. Particularmente el texto, focaliza en dos tópicos: el primero, las demandas de la Educación Superior por extender la formación universitaria más allá de la preparación científica y técnica, y en segundo lugar, la experiencia pedagógica del Aprendizaje y Servicio en la USACH, las iniciativas docentes y el aprendizaje que develan los estudiantes cuando se enfrentan a los problemas de verdad |
| English abstract | This study describes the actions taken by the Service Learning Program at the University of Santiago de Chile, in 2010, a space formed by a team of professors from various disciplines together to implement the methodology and supportive learning service, developing the role of university students, while restructuring the curriculum with supportive services. In particular the text focuses on two topics: first, the demands of higher education to expand university education beyond the scientific and technical preparation, and secondly, the experience of service learning pedagogy in USACH, initiatives teaching and learning that reveal students when faced with real problems |
