| Spanish abstract | La sociedad, reclama cambios profundos donde es fundamental tener como principal preocupación de cada uno de sus habitantes, el desarrollo de sus conciencias en torno a sus conductas y los valores. Estos son creencias perdurables en el tiempo y actitudes escogidas por la persona. De allí la demanda con fuerza a las instituciones educativas, en especial a las de nivel superior la formación de profesionales de calidad, proactivos, pues no solo depende de los conocimientos y habilidades que se desarrollen con el currículo universitario, sino también de los intereses y valores que regulan su actuación ante la sociedad; en este sentido, los profesionales de enfermería no son ajenos a esta realidad, ellos tienen conocimientos propios, pertenecen a un grupo homogéneo, organizado, cuyos miembros responden a normas, lenguaje y sobre todo desempeñan un servicio a la sociedad. | English abstract | Society, calls for profound changes where it is essential to have as a main concern of every one of its inhabitants, their consciences on their behaviors and values development. These are enduring beliefs in time and attitudes chosen by the person. There demand strongly to educational institutions, especially at the level above the training of professional quality, proactive, because not only depends of the knowledge and skills that are developed with the University curriculum, but also of the interests and values that regulate its actions before society; in this sense, nurses are no strangers to this reality, they have knowledge, they belong to a homogeneous group, organized, whose members respond to rules, language and above all play a service to society.
