English abstract Solitary reticulohistiocytoma is part of the spectrum of non-Langerhans histiocytosis. It is a dermal histiocytic collection composed of large histiocytes with cytoplasm resembling ground glass. It’s etiology is unknown; although it is proposed that it represents a local response to an unknown infl ammatory stimulus. Clinically, it is characterized by exophytic neoformations, mainly on the head and neck, yellowish to brownish-colored. It is not associated with systemic disease and has a small or none tendency to recurrence after treatment
