| Spanish abstract | Desde hace cierto tiempo, numerosos sectores acusan a la institución escolar de ser “memorística”, “libresca”, de no “preparar para la vida”; sin embargo, pocos explican en qué consiste ese preparar para la vida. Una cosa es cierta, en medio de las turbulencias que caracterizan nuestra época, se requiere firmeza y voluntad para proseguir el camino. Es imperativo educar al niño para que no le tema a los obstáculos y esté preparado para hacerle frente a la incertidumbre. No obstante, nuestro sistema educativo no parece apuntar en esa dirección |
| English abstract | Since some time ago, many sectors have been blaming schools of being “memoristic”, “textic”, and “no preparing for real life”; however, just a few people explain what ‘preparing for real life’ consists on. There is only a certain fact, in the middle of so many disorders that characterize these times; resolution and intention are required to continue struggling. It is necessary to educate children so that they can deal with obstacles and be prepared to face up to uncertainty. Nevertheless, our education system seems not to point towards that direction |
