| Resumen en inglés | The article adresses Carl Schmitt"s arguments on Hamlet or Hecuba (1956) aiming to analyze the relationship between myth and politics in the modern world. It is argued that the analysis of the shakespearean work allows to critical- ly highlight some of Schmitt"s most important theorical considerations. In that regard, the relevance of thinking about how Schmitt himself connected Hamlet with Leviathan is indicated by pointing out different organizational forms that allowed dealing with the different divisions that constituted and constitute the historical course of Europe. |
| Resumen en español | Este artículo aborda los argumentos desplegados por Carl Schmitt en Hamlet o Hécuba1 (1956) con el objeto de analizar la relación entre mito y política en el mundo moderno. Se argumenta cómo el tratamiento de la obra shakesperiana permite poner en relieve, de forma crítica, algunas de las consideraciones teóri- cas más eminentes del autor alemán. En ese marco, se muestra la relevancia de reflexionar sobre la conexión hecha por Schmitt entre Hamlet y Leviatán, indi- cando formas organizacionales diversas, que permitieron lidiar con las distintas escisiones que constituyeron y constituyen al derrotero histórico de Europa. |
