| Spanish abstract | Desde principios del siglo XX se presentaron diversos proyectos de creación de túneles o puentes que conecten a Entre Ríos con el resto de la Argentina. La creación del túnel subfluvial en 1969 puso fin a las especulaciones y se concretó el primer paso terrestre que conecto Paraná con Santa Fe. La pregunta que guía este trabajo ¿Por qué se realizó a fines de la década de 1960 cuando ya estaba en agenda desde 50 años atrás? La respuesta la intentamos desarrollar en relación al tráfico vehicular. Para ello en primer lugar, se realizará un contexto demográfico y económico de la provincia de Entre Ríos y luego se analizarán brevemente los proyectos y los contextos de producción. La hipótesis de trabajo es que los pedidos de realización de túnel o puente se llevaron a cabo en contextos de saturación de los servicios que estaban en ejecución y se requería su ampliación. Esto se realizó hasta que la imposibilidad de poder ampliar los servicios establecidos y la renta que dejaba el transporte hizo rentable la realización de una obra de infraestructura de gran envergadura |
| English abstract | Since the beginning of the 20th century, several projects for the creation of tunnels or bridges that connect Entre Ríos with the rest of Argentina have been presented. The creation of the subfluvial tunnel in 1969 put an end to the speculation and the first terrestrial step that connected Paraná with Santa Fe was made. The question that guides this work is why it was carried out at the end of the 1960s when it had already been on the agenda 50 years before. We try to develop the answer in relation to vehicular traffic. First, a demographic and economic context of the Entre Rios province will be provided and then the projects and production contexts will be briefly analyzed. The work hypothesis is that the requests for tunneling or bridging were made in a saturation context of the services that were being executed and their expansion was required. This was done until the impossibility of expanding the established services and the rent left by the transport made the completion of a large-scale infrastructure project profitable |
