English abstract | Bacillus cereus bacteremia is uncommon and is associated with cancer or immunocompromised patients. We report the case of a girl with catheter-related bacteremia by B. cereus after chemotherapy in an outpatient with a history of acute lymphoblastic leukemia and severe neutropenia. The risk factors identified in the patient agree with those reported in the literature, a history of leukemia, immunocompromise, neutropenia, catheter extended stay. Conclusion: The evolution of the patient determines the need to assess the early initiation of antimicrobial therapy |
