| English abstract | This article analyzes the elderly’s social representations of the socio environmental transformations that have occurred in the city of Ponta Grossa, PR over the last 50 years. It aims to identify and understand the representations of elderly men and women regarding the space they have lived in. The collection of data occurred via open and recurrent interviews, following a narrative path. The data was analyzed by the ALCESTE software. Two categories were defined, regarding the representations of space, dealing with the female gender on micro and mesoenvironments, and the male gender on meso and macroenvironments |
| Portuguese abstract | Este artigo analisa as representações sociais (RS) dos idosos sobre as transformações socioambientais do município de Ponta Grossa-PR nos últimos 50 anos. Tem como objetivo identificar e compreender as representações de homens e mulheres idosos com o espaço vivido. A coleta de informações ocorreu mediante entrevistas abertas, recorrentes e de caráter narrativo. As informações foram analisadas pelo software ALCESTE. Duas categorias foram delimitadas quanto à representação do espaço, as quais se objetivam com o predomínio do sexo feminino acerca do micro e do mesoambiente, e do sexo masculino relacionado ao meso e ao macroambiente |
