| English abstract | This study aimed to analyze the social concern of the companies in the agrochemical sector with their employees through the disclosure of the benefits offered to them. Classified as descriptive research, the analysis was based on financial statements and social reports disclosed in 2010, considering the recommendations of the CPC 33 (2009) and IAS 19 (2004). It was found not homogeneous reporting about the disclosure recommended by current standards; mandated benefits are evident and not compulsory, which are used with the imprint of institutional advertising. We conclude that this approach reinforces the image of the institution and contributes to the formation of individual values of its employees, making the society aware of the importance of the practice of social actions |
| Portuguese abstract | Este estudo objetivou analisar a preocupação social das empresas do setor agroquímico com seus funcionários por meio da evidenciação dos benefícios a eles oferecidos. Classificada como descritiva, a pesquisa fundamentou-se na análise de demonstrativos contábeis e relatórios sociais divulgados, em 2010, considerando as recomendações do CPC 33 (2009) e IAS 19 (2004). Constatou-se apresentação de informações não homogêneas quanto à evidenciação recomendada pelas nor - mas vigentes, são evidenciados benefícios compulsórios e não compulsórios, sendo estas informações utilizadas com cunho de propaganda institucional. Conclui-se que essa atitude reforça a imagem da instituição e contribui para a formação de valores indi - viduais de seus funcionários e conscientiza a sociedade da importância da prática de ações sociais |
