| English abstract | The productive agricultural restructuring that began in the 1990s in - creased the rural conflicts in the Brazilian geographic space. The sugarcane produc - tion, with the introduction of mechanic cutting which replaced the manual cutting generated unemployment in rural areas and directed many workers to the struggle for agrarian reform.
