| English abstract | This article intended to make notes about the Protestantism insertion in Minas Gerais. For this purpose, it was con - sidered the Protestant immigrants coming and later the Presbyterian missionaries’ work who arrived in the country, mainly from the second half of the XIX century. Para tan - to, buscou-se pensar a vinda de imigrantes protestantes e, posteriormente, o trabalho realizado pelos missionários presbiterianos que chegaram ao país, principalmente, a partir da segunda metade do século XIX.
