| English abstract | Iron deficiency continues to be an important problem worldwide. As a synthetic alternative has not been found until now blood donation remains indispensable. But blood donation can cause a substantial reduction of iron in the organism of the donor. Here we wish to bring attention to this in order to improve the quality of the donated blood and to preserve the donor's health |
