| English abstract | This work aims to articulate Jean Pierre Vernant reflections about gods and myths in Ancient Greece, focused on the mythological figures of Artemis, Dionysius e Gorgon, and his hypothesis about alterity, with Nietzsche conceptions on the concepts of Apollonian and Dionysian and the birth of tragedy. The discussion is based in the perception of the difference as affirmation of life itself. It also discusses in which way the mythical aspects of memory and time are related, leading to the creation of otherness and the appearance of the Other |

A discussão se pauta na percepção da diferença como afirmação da própria vida.
