| Spanish abstract | La municipalidad de A ya ha sido objeto de varios estudios del grupo de investigación de los autores. El presente trabajo tuvo por objetivo preparar el camino para implantar en la ciudad el proyecto pionero de llegar a la situación de “basura cero” en un plazo de quince años. Para tal, se produjo un análisis de la situación actual de la basura urbana y se identificaron todos los protagonistas con sus respectivas actividades y propósitos. Luego, en base de las ideas defendidas por movimientos intelectuales “basura cero”, se desarrolló un plano para mejorar el sistema existente de manejo de residuos hasta acercarse a una situación donde el relleno no será más necesario. Se presenta el análisis de la situación y se describen los pasos administrativos propuestos con sus respectivos plazos |
| English abstract | The municipality of A has been the object of various studies by the authors’ team. In the present case, the objective was to prepare the routing to reach a “zero waste” situation within a timeframe of 15 years. The study provided an analysis of the present state of municipal waste collection and identified all stakeholders with their respective activities and aims. With the data collected and ideas from intellectual zero waste movements, the authors developed a plan for improving the existing operating system towards a situation where the landfill would be unnecessary. This report presents the analysis and the proposed timetable for administrative measures and targets with their respective deadlines |
