| English abstract | The article discusses the results of a field research on generational transmission in the second generation of Brazilian immigrants in Portugal. It aims to understand the construction of the double cultural belonging of children of Portuguese-Brazilian couples in Portugal. A qualitative research was carried out in which twelve participants were interviewed. The results were analyzed according to the content analysis method, thematic-category aspect and discussed from the theoretical framework of Psychoanalysis and the Social Sciences. We discussed the categories of double cultural belonging and ties to families of origin. We conclude that family dynamics favored biculturalism, anchored in the identification with aspects considered positive in both cultures. The bonds with families of Brazilian origin were more invested in the private sphere, as a form of protection against stigmatization |
| Portuguese abstract | O artigo discute resultados de uma pesquisa de campo sobre a transmissão geracional na segunda geração de imigrantes brasileiros em Portugal. Objetiva compreender a construção do duplo pertencimento cultural de filhos de casais luso-brasileiros em Portugal. Realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa na qual foram entrevistados doze participantes entre os 18 e os 31 anos de idade. Os resultados foram analisados de acordo com o método de análise de conteúdo, vertente temático-categorial e discutidos a partir do referencial teórico da Psicanálise e das Ciências Sociais. Discutimos as categorias duplo pertencimento cultural e vínculos com as famílias de origem. Concluímos que a dinâmica familiar privilegiou a biculturalidade, ancorada na identificação com os aspectos considerados positivados de ambas as culturas. Os vínculos com as famílias de origem brasileiras foram mais investidos na esfera privada, como forma de proteção contra a estigmatização |
