| Spanish abstract | En siglo XX, el Gobierno de México y la prensa construyeron una relación de interdependencia basada en el Estado corporativo y las figuras del Presidente de la República, el Secretario de Gobernación y el Partido Revolucionario Institucional. El control sobre la prensa fue ejercido mediante mecanismos legales como la Constitución de 1917 (artículo 6 y 7), la Ley del timbre y el funcionamiento de la Empresa Productora e Importadora de Papel. Este artículo se pregunta, a través del método histórico-crítico, si hubo otros mecanismos de control, (como, por ejemplo, la celebración de El Día de la Libertad de Prensa el siete de junio de 1951) y en qué medida los periodistas lo asumieron como una oportunidad para aliarse con el Gobierno, que apenas les ofrecía una libertad limitada |
| English abstract | Between the government of Mexico and the press they built a relationship of interdependence during the 20th century. Its foundation was the corporate state and the figures of the President of the Republic, the Secretary of the Interior and the Partido Revolucionario Institucional. The control over the press was exercised through legal mechanisms such as the Constitution of 1917 (Article 6 and 7), the Stamp Act and the operation of the Production and Paper Importing Company. In this article we ask ourselves through the historical-critical method, if there were other control mechanisms such as the celebration of Press Freedom Day on June 7 from 1951 and to what extent journalists assumed it as an opportunity to Ingratiate yourself with the government, and the latter as a stage to remind you that your freedom was limited |
