| Spanish abstract | El artículo sintetiza un trabajo de investigación empírica titulado Construir el género desde lo afro: Una propuesta de doble cambio cultural de las organizaciones de mujeres del Caribe colombiano. Examina los procesos de apropiación y resignificación que tienen lugar en la incorporación de la categoría género como “práctica” y pregunta: ¿cómo se articula el proyecto étnico (las prácticas tradicionales ligadas a su historia, lengua y cosmovisión) y de género (que supone la búsqueda de equidad entre hombres y mujeres) en este contexto?, ¿cómo adoptan y adaptan el uso de la categoría género en el propósito de construir este “desde lo afro” en agrupaciones de hombres y mujeres del movimiento afrocolombiano? |
| English abstract | The paper summarizes an empirical research entitled: Building the gender from afro: A proposal for double cultural change in women's organizations of the Colombian Caribbean. It examines a proposal made by women's organizations seeking to build the gender from the afro. It investigates the appropriation processes and resignification taking place in the incorporation of the gender category as "practice". It also asks how the project articulates ethnic (traditional practices related to their history, language and worldview) and gender (as the supposed quest for equity between men and women) in this context. How to adopt and adapt the use of the gender category in order to build it "from the afro" in groups of men and women in the movement? |
