| English abstract | Presents the partial result of a mapping of web environment information sources for Science and technology by researchers of the Minas Gerais Technological Centers. It was observed that in recent years there has been a severe decrease in demand, by the same researchers, of printed sources offered by the Division of Information Technology (ITS). The technical and scientific production of the institution is relevant, with publications in prestigious national and international journals, but the printed sources no longer meet the informational needs of researchers. It was found that there is a great amount of searches in databases and open access journals including databases and journals offered by the Brazilian National Higher Education Funding Body Portal (CAPES) |
| Portuguese abstract | Apresenta o resultado parcial de um mapeamento de fontes de informação em ambiente web para ciência e tecnologia dos pesquisadores da Fundação Centro Tecnológico de Minas Gerais. Observou-se que nos últimos anos houve uma severa redução de demanda dos mesmos pesquisadores às fontes impressas oferecidas pelo Setor de Informação Tecnológica (STI). A produção técnico-científica da instituição é relevante, com publicações em periódicos nacionais e internacionais conceituados, porém as fontes impressas não atendem mais as necessidades informacionais dos pesquisadores. Constatou-se que existe uma grande busca em base de dados e periódicos de acesso livre e em bases e periódicos do Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) |
