Resumen en inglés The Trypanosoma cruzi interaction with vertebrate hosts is a very complex process, involving different phenomena particular to the immune response. Various cellular elements participate in the immune mechanisms triggered, with a crucial part played by the TCD4+ and TCD8 lymphocytes due to their regulatory and effector activities. The objective of this manuscript is to review the participation of these cells in the immunology of Chagas disease
