| Spanish abstract | En portugués brasileño existe la variación a/para/em en enunciados con verbos que expresan movimiento o traslado a un lugar (ir, llegar, venir, entre otros). Se trata de una variación no reconocida por la normativa, ya que, para la tradición gramatical, estos verbos seleccionan solamente las preposiciones direccionales a/para; sin embargo, en el habla coloquial de Brasil, la preposición locativa em alterna con las direccionales, y esta variación no es libre sino que está motivada por razones semánticas y pragmáticas que dan cuenta de cómo los hablantes conciben el evento al cual se refieren. Esta alternancia observada en el portugués parece ocurrir también en enunciados en español producidos por hablantes brasileños, y se hace notoria cuando estos seleccionan la preposición en en contextos equivalentes a aquellos en los que podría prevalecer la variante em en portugués. Este trabajo aborda un grupo de textos escritos en español por hablantes de portugués brasileño que se encuentran estudiando español o tienen ya algún grado de desempeño en esta lengua, registra el uso alternante de las preposiciones a/en y sus significados en los contextos descritos, y analiza si las variables que motivan la selección de una u otra preposición en español son las mismas que operan en portugués |
| English abstract | In Brazilian Portuguese there is a variation of a/para/em in sentences with verbs that express movement to a place (go, arrive, come, among others). It is a non-normative variation, since the grammatical tradition prescribes, for these verbs, the selection of directional prepositions a/para; however, in the colloquial speech of Brazil, the locative preposition em alternates with the directional ones, and this variation is not free, but motivated by semantic and pragmatic reasons that account for how speakers conceive of the event to which they refer. This alternation observed in Brazilian Portuguese seems to occur also in statements in Spanish produced by Brazilian speakers, and it becomes noticeable when they select the preposition in contexts equivalent to those in which the variant em in Portuguese would prevail. This work deals with a group of texts written in Spanish by Brazilian Portuguese speakers who are studying Spanish or already have some degree of performance in this language, records the alternating use of prepositions a/en and their meanings in the described contexts, and analyzes whether the variables that motivate the selection of one or the other preposition in Spanish are the same as those that operate in Portuguese |
