| Spanish abstract | Este artículo muestra los resultados de una investigación que busca establecer el perfil psicológico del académico ideal de la Escuela de Comunicación Social de la Facultad de Humanidades y Educación de L.U.Z., en una muestra de 181 estudiantes activos, en una investigación descriptiva, donde el Inventario Docide midió las variables psicológicas, analizadas mediante estadísticas descriptivas. Las conclusiones indican que, para los estudiantes, en el docente ideal debe predominar la motivación al poder, la afiliación y finalmente el logro, a diferencia de lo dictaminado por el docente mismo, quien invierte la relación; es importante mantener a nivel promedio el control propio sobre sus actividades, asumiendo la intervención de otras personas sobre sus logros La ansiedad y la autoestima a nivel promedio podrían mantener el nivel de activación necesario para alcanzar su desarrollo personal. En general, se espera un docente más humano, comprometido no solo con sus metas sino con las relaciones que mantiene en la institución con el estudiante y sus pares. Se impone una revisión de los programas de formación académica a fin de adaptarlo a las necesidades propias., de la institución y de la sociedad en general |
| English abstract | This article presents the results of research, the objective of which was to establish the psychological profile of the ideal professor at the School of Social Communication in the Humanities and Education Faculty at L.U.Z. In a sampling of 181 active students, in a descriptive research proposal, where the Docide Inventory measured the psychological variables, using descriptive statistics for its analysis. The conclusions showed that for students, the ideal teacher must be leadership motivated, and power oriented and eager to succeed, which is different from what professors usually express, and who invert the relationship. It is also important to maintain an average level of self control of their activities, assuming the intervention of other people in relation to their successes. Anxiety and self-esteem should be maintained at the necessary level of activation in order to achieve personal development. In general, it is expected that professors be more human, and commited not only to their own goal, but in relation to the institution, the students and other colleagues. A review of programs for academic formation necessary in order to adapt it to their own needs, the needs of the institution, and of society in general |
