| English abstract | Since the last decades of the nineteenth century in Mexico begins the struggle of women for the legal recognition of their political rights, there is much history to recover to really assess what they have meant 130 years in this dull process of give and take, of reasons or excuses not to comply with international agreements and documents where the theme is to promote equal opportunities for women in the organic life of Mexico, a process that has led to great violence against women who make politics their profession, as was the case with “the juanitas”.
