| Spanish abstract | En la novela Sin rumbo de Cambacérès, la vida del personaje principal transcurre en dos ambientes simétricamente delimitados: el campo y la ciudad, estableciéndose una estructura narrativa basada en la aparente oposición de estos espacios. En este sentido, nuestra investigación se centra en el estudio de los aspectos más importantes en la concepción estética del campo y la ciudad en la novela Sin rumbo de Eugenio Cambacérès, basándonos en algunas intervenciones del personaje principal de la obra y en las apreciaciones del narrador, el cual muchas veces parece confundirse con Andrés. En el logro de nuestros objetivos, trataremos de construir una imagen del campo y la ciudad fundamentada en una nueva visión adaptada a las transformaciones socio-económicasocurridas a finales del siglo XIX y al estado psíquico del personaje principal |
| English abstract | In Sin rumbo of Cambacérès, the life of the main character occurs in two environments very well delimitated: the countryside and the city. This relation establishes a narrative structure that is based in the opposition of these two spaces. In this respect, our investigation studies the most important aspects in the representation of the countryside and the city in the novel Sin rumbo, taking in to account the ideas of the main character about his life and the interpretations of the narrator who, sometimes, seems to be the same Andrés. To achieve our objectives, we try to elaborate an idea of the countryside and the city taking in to account the social and economical transformations in Argentina during the XIX century and the mental perturbation of the main character |
