| English abstract | Our goal in this article is to show the existing relation between the modern map of Mérida and the problems that have arisen between Mérida and Zulia over Maracaibo’s Sur del Lago area. The paper is structured as follows: first an introduction, then we show Mérida’s map certification by Simón Bolivar’s Cartographical Institute, wrong map’s handout of the mistaken modern Mérida cartographical reality, and the solution perspective of the territorial problems between Mérida and Zulia |
