| Spanish abstract | Los videojuegos son una herramienta útil para entretener a los adolescentes, pero también un importante instrumento didáctico. Debido a que los jóvenes se dejan eclipsar por estos juegos, últimamente se les está sacando el máximo partido en la escuela, resultando de vital importancia el rol que deben jugar los profesores frente a la abundancia de recursos que suponen las nuevas tecnologías, por lo que la propuesta de este artículo se encamina hacia la potenciación y las posibilidades educativas de los videojuegos para contribuir de mejor manera a la formación del estudiante e incluso del docente. Se concluye que los videojuegos pueden ser una herramienta sumamente atractiva y motivadora que, usada de manera correcta, propicia el aprendizaje significativo y desarrolla la cognición del estudiante |
| English abstract | Video games are a useful tool to entertain teenagers, but also an important teaching tool. Because young people are eclipsed by these games, lately they are getting the most out of school, and the role that teachers must play in the face of the abundance of resources involved in new technologies is of vital importance. The proposal of this article is directed towards the empowerment and educational possibilities of videogames to contribute in a better way to the formation of the student and even of the teacher. It is concluded that video games can be an extremely attractive and motivating tool that, used correctly, encourages meaningful learning and develops student cognition |
