| Spanish abstract | Este artículo remite a dos preguntas centrales: ¿Qué papel desempeñó Perón en el proceso político que condujo a la caída del gobierno de Obregón Cano y Atilio López? , ¿Qué papel jugaron los Montoneros en esa coyuntura? Nuestra hipótesis de trabajo contrasta el rol activo de Perón con la actitud pasiva o prescindente de Montoneros. En relación con los interrogantes precedentes, se ofrece una reconstrucción histórica que presta atención a: 1) la relación gobierno nacional-provincial, y en particular al comportamiento de Perón, el Ministerio del Interior y el Ministerio de Trabajo. 2) el rol asumido por Montoneros ante el derrocamiento de un gobierno provincial al que consideraban aliado |
| English abstract | This article refers to two main questions: What role did Perón fulfill in the political process that led to the fall of Obregón Cano and Atilio López’s government? , What role did the Montoneros play in that situation? Our working hypothesis contrasts Peron’s active role with Montoneros’ passive or non-existent attitude. In connection with the previous questions, the article offers a historical reconstruction focused on: 1) the relation between the national and provincial governments, and, particularly, Peron’s, the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ and the Ministry of Labour’s behavior 2) Montoneros’ reaction at the overthrowing of a provincial government that considered an ally |
