| English abstract | In the late 1960s, a series of events like centralization of theatrical censorship in Brasilia as well as the acts of repression of public demonstrations, contributed to transfer the struggle against censorship to the sphere of justice, and to individualize the process of resistance in the field of culture. In the new configuration of the cultural disputes, the process of censorship of the drama Calabar stood out, which also revealed internal contradictions between government agencies and constituted an atypical case in the bureaucracy of theatrical censorship in Brazil |
| Portuguese abstract | No final dos anos 1960, uma série de acontecimentos como a centralização da censura teatral em Brasília bem como os atos de repressão às manifestações públicas contribuíram para transferir a luta contra a censura para o âmbito da Justiça e, consequentemente, individualizar o processo de resistência no campo da cultura. Na nova configuração das lutas culturais destacou-se o processo de censura da peça Calabar que, além de ser uma expressão clara nesse sentido, evidenciou contradições internas entre órgãos do governo bem como se constituiu num processo atípico na burocracia da censura |
