| Spanish abstract | Si el consumo de leña es desfavorable para el medio ambiente de las ciudades, ¿sucede esto en Oaxaca? El objetivo de este artículo es analizar, para el periodo 2000-2015, si el desarrollo sustentable de 17 de las ciudades de mayor población, que cumplen la función de lugar central en Oaxaca, México, se ve influido desfavorablemente por el uso de la leña en los hogares. Para ello, con datos documentales se han creado índices de desarrollo sustentable y vivienda con uso de leña, aplicando los análisis estadístico bayesiano, de regresión, y de redes. Los resultados indican que si aumentan los niveles de desarrollo de las ciudades, esto mismo sucede con el consumo de leña. |
| English abstract | If the consumption of firewood is unfavorable for the environment of the cities, does this happen in Oaxaca? The objective of this article is to analyze, for the period 2000-2015, if the sustainable development of 17 of the cities with the largest population, which fulfill the function of central place in Oaxaca, Mexico, is adversely influenced by the use of firewood in the homes. For this, with documentary data, have been created indices of sustainable development and housing with use of firewood, applying Bayesian statistical analysis, regression, and networks. The results indicate that if the levels of development of the cities increase, the consumption of firewood also increases. |
