| English abstract | The purpose of the present study is to expose the process of consolidation of the MERCOSUL, as well as making an incursion in the activities of the workgroup in the teac hing of History and Geography, of MERCOSUL’s Educational Sector, presenting its actions, reflections and perspectives. Thus, the study is structured into two subthemes and the final considerations. In the first subtheme, entitled “The formation of the Comm on Market of the South – MERCOSUL”, exposes the historical process of formation of the MERCOSUL. The second subtheme has the title “The creation of the SEM and reflections, perspectives and actions for the teaching of History in the Basic Education of the States - Parties that compose the MERCOSUL. The conclusion of this study signaled the need for social and cultural integration that enabled the creation of MERCOSUL’s Educational Sector – SEM and, later, the formation of the workgroup in the teaching of Hist ory and Geography, whose concern was to incorporate the minimum curricular contents of History for each of the countries of the MERCOSUL and discuss about teaching History that included comparative approaches that enabled the identification of traces of co mmon identity, which promoted a history less prejudicial to the “other”; which contemplated the social integration and the right to the difference and to the conformation of shared political practices and to a plural society |
| Portuguese abstract | O presente trabalho tem como objetivo expor o processo de consolidação do Mercosul, como também fazer uma incursão nas ati vidades do grupo de trabalho no ensino de História e Geografia, do Setor Educacional do Mercosul, apresentando suas ações, reflexões e perspectivas. Para isso, o trabalho está estruturado em dois subtemas e as considerações finais. No primeiro subtema, int itulado “A formação do Mercado Comum do Sul – Mercosul”, expõe - se o processo histórico de formação do Mercosul. O segundo subtema tem como título “A criação do SEM e as reflexões, perspectivas e ações do grupo de trabalho no ensino de História no Mercosul ”. Neste segundo subtema, realiza - se uma incursão nos documentos dos seminários dos especialistas no ensino de História, a fim de apresentar as reflexões, perspectivas e ações para o ensino de História na Educação Básica dos Estados - Partes que compõem o Me rcosul. Este trabalho se concluiu sinalizando que a necessidade de integração social e cultural possibilitou a criação do Setor Educacional do Mercosul – SEM - e, posteriormente, a formação do grupo de trabalho no ensino de História e Geografia, cuja preoc upação foi incorporar conteúdos curriculares mínimos de História de cada um dos países do Mercosul e discutir sobre um ensino de História que veiculasse abordagens comparativas que possibilitassem a identificação de traços de identidade comuns, que promove ssem uma história menos prejudicial ao “outro”; que contemplassem a integração social e o direito à diferença e à conformação de práticas políticas compartilhadas e a uma sociedade plural |
