| English abstract | The present work analyzes the experience of women who found themselves carriers of the HIV virus resulting in AIDS, when infection stems from stable affective, marital, and sexual relations. Aiming at analyzing which social, cultural, affective, sexual, and marital dimensions interact with the infection condition, its disclosure, and the new life status from then on, 13 (thirteen) seropositive women were interviewed. The path for these women’s life rebuilding process is part of the track rescued by this research, which is also inserted into the milestones that constitute accountabilities on sexual and reproductive rights, and into how they subjectivize the experience. Besides, this work also makes possible the identification of a brief history of the epidemics expansion in the country. It shows how the contamination was initially associated with homosexual practices and to the so-called risk groups, observing that there has currently been a feminization of the epidemics in Brazil, which in many cases is linked with the female vulnerability in the broad processes encompassed by these relations |
| Portuguese abstract | Trata-se de analisar a experiência de mulheres que se descobriram portadoras do vírus HIV, quando a contaminação é resultado de relações afetivas, conjugais e sexuais estáveis. Com o intuito de analisar quais dimensões sociais, culturais, afetivas, sexuais e de conjugalidade interagem com a situação da contaminação, do seu desvelamento e da continuidade da vida após a descoberta. Para tal, foram ouvidas 13 (treze) mulheres soropositivas. Como se reconstroem essas mulheres é parte da trilha resgatada com esta pesquisa, a qual também se insere no bojo dos marcos que constituem as responsabilidades sobre direitos sexuais e reprodutivos, e como elas subjetivam a experiência. Além disso, é possível encontrar neste trabalho um breve histórico acerca da expansão da epidemia no País. Mostra-se como a contaminação estava inicialmente associada ao homossexualismo e aos então chamados grupos de risco. Atualmente, porém, observa-se a feminização da epidemia no Brasil, à qual, em muitos casos, se associa a vulnerabilidade feminina em amplos processos envolvidos nessas relações |
