| Spanish abstract | Este artículo trata la problemática de las lenguas habladas en Venezuela desde la perspectiva de la ecolingüística. El objetivo fue ubicar cada lengua en la dinámica histórico-político-social y proyectarla hacia el futuro. Las técnicas y los procedimientos fueron de tipo teórico y cualitativo; éstos se complementaron con entrevistas semi-estructuradas. Se concluye que la concientización y la educación se presentan como vías para evitar la homogeneización lingüístico-cultural del país. |
| English abstract | This article deals with the problem of languages spoken in Venezuela from the ecolinguistics perspective. The objective was to locate each language in the historical-political-social dynamics and project it towards the future. The techniques and the procedures were of theoretical and qualitative type; they were complemented with semi-structured interviews. It is concluded that awareness and education present themselves as ways to avoid linguistic and cultural homogenization of the country. |
| Other abstract | Cet article traite les problèmes des langues parlées en Venezuela depuis la perspective de l'écolinguistique. L'objectif a été de placer chaque langue dans la dynamique historique - politique-social et la projeter vers l'avenir. Les techniques et les procédés ont été d'une type théorique et qualitative; ceux-ci se sont complétés avec des interviews semi-structurées. On conclut que la conscientisation et l'éducation se présentent comme voies pour éviter l'homogénéisation linguistique - culturel du pays. |
