| Spanish abstract | Los rituales son un mecanismo cultural por el que se restablecen códigos, significados y saberes. En el caso Wayüu, éstos, a través de figuras como el Outsü, buscan restaurar y dar sentido a situaciones enigmáticas causadas por el desorden que puede producir un mal. Los rituales de curación dirigidos a enfrentar un tipo de mal Wanülüü, son un mecanismo cognitivo y simbólico por el que el Wayüu reconoce y encuentra la salida a situaciones “patológicas” que no poseen un significado explí- cito. En tal sentido, abordaremos este punto desde la idea sperberiana de Dispositivo Cognitivo, y desde la comunidad Wayüu de Nazareth en la alta Guajira colombiana |
| English abstract | Rituals are a cultural mechanism through which codes, meanings and knowledge are restored. In the Wayüu case, these healing rituals, through figures such as the Outsü, seek to restore and give meaning to enigmatic situations caused by the disorder that an evil can produce. Healing rituals directed at confronting a type of evil Wanülüü, are a symbolic and cognitive mechanism by which the Wayüu recognize and find the way out of pathological situations that have no explicit meaning. The study will approach this point from the Sperberian idea of cognitive device in the Wayüu community of Nazareth in the High Colombian Guajira |
