| Spanish abstract | En este trabajo analizo los últimos libros de Luis García Montero -Vista cansada (2008), Un invierno propio (2011), Balada en la muerte de la poesía (2016) y A puerta cerrada (2017)- centrándome en las tesis que sigue planteando en ellos en torno a los límites entre lo público y lo privado así como en la reivindicación de la tradición humanista. Me interesa ubicar estos libros en una época en la que es manifiesto el progresivo escepticismo que se produce en el autor desde Vista cansada (2008) en torno al mundo y a la pérdida de los valores democráticos por los que había luchado en los años ochenta. Lo privado se abre en estos últimos libros a lo social, poniendo en dudas sus límites. Sin embargo, fiel a sí mismo, el autor nos demuestra en ellos que, aunque los sueños y las banderas se degraden, queda la educación sentimental |
| English abstract | In this work I analyze the last books by Luis García Montero -Vista cansada (2008), Un invierno propio (2011), Balada en la muerte de la poesía (2016) and A puerta cerrada (2017)- focusing on the thesis that he raises about the limits between public and private as well as the demand for the humanistic tradition. I am interested in locating these books at a stage in which the progressive skepticism that occurs in the author from Vista cansada (2008) around the world and the loss of democratic values for which he had fought in the eighties is evident. The private opens in these recent books to the social, putting in doubt its limits. However, true to himself, the author shows us with these books that, although dreams and flags degrade, sentimental education remains |
