| Spanish abstract | El presente, es un reporte de caso clínico, el cual trata de un paciente masculino de 64 años, quien acudió a nuestra consulta, por presentar un aumento de volumen en la zona sub mandibular, en ambas glándulas submandibulares, con xerostomía asociada, macroglosia, xeroftalmía, resequedad de la piel y múltiples lesiones maculares de ambos brazos. Previamente, el paciente había a asistido a múltiples especialistas por sospecha clínica inicial de tumoración en lengua o vías digestiva altas, debido a la protrusión exagerada de la lengua, sin diagnóstico ni tratamiento alguno. Postulándose así como un reto diagnostico, causando confusión con distintas enfermedades en la consulta maxilofacial. El propósito de este estudio fue identificar la importancia en el diagnóstico temprano de este grupo de enfermedades |
| English abstract | The present is a clinical case report, which deals with a 64-year-old male patient, who came to our office, due to an increase in volume in the sub-mandibular area, in both submandibular glands, with associated xerostomia, macroglossia, xerophthalmia, dry skin and multiple macular lesions of both arms. Previously, the patient had attended multiple specialists for initial clinical suspicion of a tumor in the upper digestive tract or tongue, due to the exaggerated protrusion of the tongue, without diagnosis or treatment. Postulating itself as a diagnostic challenge, causing confusion with different diseases in the maxillofacial consultation. The purpose of this study was to identify the importance in the early diagnosis of this group of diseases |
