| Spanish abstract | Hoy en día, debido al impacto económico, ambiental y social generado por las condiciones atmosféricas adversas, surge la necesidad de incorporar la información climática en diversas actividades de planificación y desarrollo agrícola. El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo detectar los niveles actuales de uso de información agrometeorológica e identificar necesidades y demanda de los productores agropecuarios del estado Anzoátegui. Se realizó el análisis e interpretación de los sistemas de producción agropecuaria en el Estado, a través del método de análisis por componentes principales (ACP). Para ello, se aplicaron encuestas a 100 fincas distribuidas en 11 Municipios. Mediante el ACP se seleccionaron los primeros cinco componentes que explicaban el77%de la variación total.Unprimer componente asociado a las variables: uso, origen y resultados de pronósticos meteorológicos aportó el 31,0% de la varianza total. Esto permitió inducir que el uso de pronósticos meteorológicos y la fuente de información climática proveniente de los servicios agrometeorológicos son los factores de mayor incidencia en los sistemas de producción agrícola del estado |
| English abstract | Nowadays, due to the economic, environmental and social impact generated by adverse weather conditions, the need arises to incorporate climate information in diverse planning and agricultural development activities. The objective of this work was to identify current levels of the use of agrometeorological information and identify the needs and demand for it among agricultural producers in the State of Anzoátegui. Analysis and interpretation of the agricultural production systems in the State were carried out using the principal component analysis (PCA) method. Surveys were conducted at 100 farms in 11 municipalities. Using PCA, the first five components were selected, which accounted for 77% of the total variation.Afirst component associated with the variables use, origin and forecasts results contributed 31.0% of the total variance. This permitted inducing that the use of weather forecasts and the climate information source from agrometeorological services are the factors of greatest impact on agricultural production systems in the State |
