| English abstract | In this article, it’s my purpose to see the “Rumor” through multidisciplinary proposal attached to theories of communication, sociology of rumors and history as a discipline, in order to pursue the different and possible answers which will be presented to a researcher who tries to think of it as a verifiable historical object. For this pursuit, I will start on a discussion of what are rumors, passing through the discussion in the sociological and communicational areas in order to prove that the rumor can be seen as historical evidence and also be used as an object to understand mechanisms of the past, especially in the world Roman. My finally goal with this reflective and writing exercise is to prepare the groundwork for my P.H.D research in Social History, as I intend to work with the theme rumors in the civil wars in the Year of the Four Emperors (68 - 69 AD) |
| Portuguese abstract | Neste artigo, pretendo abordar o “Rumor” através de uma proposta multidisciplinar, pois dialogarei com as teorias da comunicação, a sociologia dos rumores e a disciplina história, por assim dizer, com o objetivo de buscar se essas possíveis diferentes respostas se apresentarão a um pesquisador que tenta pensá-las como objeto histórico verificável. Para tanto, partirei de uma discussão sobre o que são rumores, passando por sua discussão no campo da sociologia da comunicação, no intuito de provar que o rumor, como evidência histórica, também pode ser utilizado como um objeto para entender mecanismos do passado, especialmente o mundo romano |
