| Spanish abstract | El presente trabajo aborda la naturaleza de los retenes militares a raíz de la presentación del caso Bonfilio Rubio Villegas ante la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, como restricción al derecho de circulación, a la luz de los estándares nacionales e internacionales en materia de derechos humanos, así como las consecuencias que éstos tienen en la afectación de otros derechos. | English abstract | This work addresses the nature of military checkpoints, following the presentation of the Bonfilio Rubio Villegas case before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, as a restriction on the freedom of movement, in light of national and international human rights standards in the matter, as well as the consequences that military checkpoints have on other rights.
