Spanish abstract En el presente artículo explicaremos a grandes rasgos en qué consiste el sistema interamericano de protección de derechos humanos y la importancia de las sentencias emitidas por la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos. Asimismo, analizaremos el control de convencionalidad en México, su contenido, límites y principios que lo rigen. Por último, señalaremos cómo influyó el sistema interamericano en la integración del mismo, al tiempo que se analizarán las restricciones constitucionales impuestas por la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación al control de convencionalidad y se compararán con esquemas de supraconstitucionalidad como el de Colombia y Guatemala
English abstract In general terms, the current article will explain how the Inter-American Human Rights System works, and the importance of the sentences issued by the InterAmerican Human Rights Court. In addition, we will analyze the parameter related with the conventional control in Mexico, its content, limits and principles that rules it. Finally, we will highlight how the Inter-American System influenced the integration of such parameter, analyzing at the same time the constitutional restrictions issued by the Mexican Supreme Court and comparing it with countries like Colombia and Guatemala, where they provide a supra-constitutional protection
