| Spanish abstract | Este artículo persigue llamar la atención sobre la necesidad de transitar hacia un turismo accesible que posibilite el derecho a la participación en la vida cultural, las actividades recreativas y el deporte, sin discriminación por condición de discapacidad. El tema se analizará a partir de los aportes que el enfoque de derechos humanos ha realizado en los temas de derechos culturales; igualdad y no discriminación, y accesibilidad física, económica y social; con el propósito de exponer ideas orientadoras para las acciones que facilitarían el disfrute de los estos derechos en el turismo. Se abordará, como un ejemplo, la situación de la Ciudad de México, al ser la cuarta entidad con mayor número de personas con discapacidad. A pesar del esfuerzo que organismos defensores de derechos humanos han realizado para alertar de las obligaciones estatales de respetar, proteger, garantizar y promover los derechos de las personas con discapacidad, las acciones han tenido un avance lento y, en ocasiones, prevalece una falta de tratamiento integral del tema, lo que ha implicado la violación persistente de derechos |
| English abstract | This article aims to draw attention the need to move towards accessible tourism that enable the right to participation in cultural life, recreational activities and sports, without disability discrimination. The theme will be analyzed based on the contributions that the human rights approach has made to cultural rights issues; equality and non-discrimination; physical, economic and social accessibility; with the purpose of presenting ideas that guide the actions that would facilitate the enjoyment of this right in tourism. Some of the actions carried out in Mexico City will be addressed, as it is the fourth entity with the largest number of people with disabilities. Despite the efforts that human rights organizations have made to warn of the state’s obligations to respect, protect, guarantee and promote the rights of persons with disabilities, efforts have been slow and a lack of comprehensive treatment of the issue still prevails, what do not avoid the persistent violation of rights |
