| English abstract | In the context of the environmental crisis the sustainable energy search gains importance. In this sense, biofuels appear as an interesting alternative, especially for Brazil, which has vast areas available for agriculture, abundant manpower and technology. However, only ethanol and biodiesel have received some attention from the government, and yet no uniform treatment. If alcohol is a reality in the Brazilian energy and biodiesel is still just a promise, it is curious that the legislature has treated this much more than that. Thus, it is necessary to edit a single and detailed legal framework to bring more effective incentives for general biofuels |
| Portuguese abstract | É no contexto da crise ambiental que a busca por energias sustentáveis ganha força. Nesse sentido, os biocombustíveis despontam como uma alternativa interessante, especialmente para o Brasil, que possui vastas áreas disponíveis para a agricultura, mão de obra abundante e tecnologia. Entretanto, somente o álcool e o biodiesel têm recebido alguma atenção do Poder Público, e mesmo assim sem tratamento uniforme. Se o álcool é uma realidade na matriz energética brasileira e o biodiesel é ainda apenas uma promessa, é curioso observar que o legislador tratou muito mais deste do que daquele. Assim, faz-se necessário a edição de um marco jurídico único e pormenorizado que traga incentivos mais efetivos para os biocombustíveis de forma geral |
