English abstract | In this paper we propose to reconstruct the debate on the “ideological” character of science and technology brought by two authors linked to the Frankfurt School: Herbert Marcuse and Jürgen Habermas. We analyzed, at first, the main thesis contained in Marcuse’s book One Dimensional Man. In a second step, we studied the responses Habermas posits in Technology and Science as “Ideology”. Finally, we conclude with some remarks to reconceptualize the process of development of the social rationality of Modernity itself, in the perspective of Habermas |
