| English abstract | The historical character of natural selection theory has been controversial. In this article, I will focus on the ambiguity of the uses of the expression "naturalñ selection theory". Sometimes it is used to refer to the theory that provides the mechanism by which organisms acquiere traifs that allow them to survive in their environment. It is also used to refer to the theory that explains why certain types of organisms within a population have higher reproductive success than others. This distinction solves some problematic issues when referring to such theory |
