| Spanish abstract | El concepto de género del discurso cuenta con una amplia discusión en la bibliografía reciente. Su definición y clasificaciones han sido objeto desde múltiples opciones teóricas y empíricas. En particular, cabe destacar que su centralidad dentro de las teorías lingüísticas ha ocupado un lugar preponderante durante los últimos diez a quince años. No obstante ello, es fácil comprobar que las elusivas y divergentes concepciones subyacentes al término género ofrecen una amplia diversidad de opciones alternativas, llegando a detectarse visiones relativamente extremas. En este contexto, en este artículo se propone un marco de reflexión teórica interdisciplinario para alcanzar una concepción integral de los géneros discursivos. Así, sin dejar de reconocer los factores sociales y semióticos, se propone una definición operacional para este constructo desde una perspectiva que enfatiza el factor cognitivo y el rol activo del sujeto en su construcción. | English abstract | The concept of discourse genre has been focus of wide discussion in recent bibliography. Its definition and classifications have been a subject from multiple theoretical and empirical perspectives. Particularly, it is worth foregrounding that its centrality within linguistic theories has occupied a predominant place during the last ten or fifteen years. Even so, it is easy to realize that the elusive and divergent conceptions that underlie the term genre offer a wide variety of alternative options, making it possible to detect relatively extreme visions. In this context, this article proposes an interdisciplinary framework for the theoretical reflection that aims at achieving a comprehensive conception of discursive genres. Therefore, without dismissing an acknowledgment of social and semiotic factors, an operational definition of this construct is proposed from a perspective that emphasizes the cognitive factor and the active role of the subject in its construction. At the same time, a proposal is advanced for the construction of academic and professional genres in disciplinary fields |
