| Spanish abstract | La recolección del Corpus Sociolingüístico de la Ciudad de Mérida 2009-2010 (PRESEEA-MÉRIDA-VE) se emprendió en 2009, con la intención de disponer de datos recientes que pudieran emplearse en estudios lingüísticos de diversa índole. Este nuevo corpus se ha preparado siguiendo las pautas del Proyecto para el Estudio Sociolingüístico del Español de España y América (PRESEEA). | English abstract | The recollection of the Corpus Sociolingüístico de la Ciudad de Mérida 2009-2010 (PRESEEA-MÉRIDA-VE) began in 2009, with the intention of gathering current data for different linguistic inquiries. This new corpus has been prepared according to the methodology employed in the Proyecto para el Estudio Sociolingüístico del Español de España y América (PRESEEA, Sociolinguistic Project for the Study of Spanish in Spain and the Americas). This article describes the procedure for the collection of speech samples, explains the sociolinguistic variables considered for its constitution, and provides a brief description of the transcription conventions |
