| Spanish abstract | El mobiliario urbano y uno de sus elementos en particular, la banca, refuerza la imagen urbana, la vida personal y de grupo, a los que aceptan el reto del mundo de la cultura la socialización y la mente abierta a nuevas ideas. Sirve también para el disfrute, relación y participación activa con los demás, así como el descubrimiento de mundos desconocidos y la reafirmación de la identidad local y regional. Es por eso que diseñar espacios qeu permitan a los habitantes a hacer fuertes conexiones entre el lugar, su vida personal y el resto del mundo, impacta como resultado, sus relaciones con su contexto físico y social. Son estas relaciones las que pueden construir la propia historia cotidiana y proyectarse en el futuro de la comunidad al generar vivencias y experiencias que, inevitablemente, anclan el sentido de continuidad e identidad en un mundo que cambia rápidamente. Una vez que reconocemos la íntima relación que existe entre la calidad, en términos holísticos, de los objetos de diseño ( bancas , mobiliarios, monumentos) y la forma en que los usuarios de estos objetos experimentamos el mundo, percibimos cuánto debemos aprender sobre la maneraen que estos objetos influyen en nuestras vidas, al tiempo que permiten generar identidad a los residentes de una comunidad urbana |
| English abstract | Urban furniture and one of its elements: the bench, strengthens the urban image, personal and group life styleto those who accept the challenge to face the world of culture, civilization, and the openess to new ideas. It also serves for the enjoyment relationship and participation with others, as well as the discovery of unknown worlds and the re-confirmation of the local and regional identity. That is why designing that spaces that allow residents to make strong connections between the place, their personal lives , and the rest of the world; results in an impact of their relationships with their physical and social context. These relationships are the ones to make everyday history for a, and project it into the future to generate experiences, that unavoidably anchored it to a sense of continuity and identity in a rapidly changing world. Once we recognize the intimate relatiionship between the quality of the design objects (benches, furniture, monuments, etc) and the way their uses experience the world, we become aware of how much we should learn about the influence of these objects in our lives, at the time it allows us to generate identity to an urban community residents |
