| Spanish abstract | Al hablar de violencia en la relación de pareja podemos afirmar que muchos estudios se han centrado en documentar la existencia de violencia de hombres hacia mujeres, sin embargo, ¿qué sucede cuando son los hombres los que viven la violencia por parte de sus parejas mujeres? Las pocas investigaciones sobre el tema, su notoria ausencia en programas gubernamentales, el desconocimiento social y presiones culturales, han influido para silenciar esta problemática. Esta investigación se abordó desde el construccionismo social, incorporando la perspectiva de género. El objetivo fue analizar el proceso de construcción identitaria de hombres que viven violencia en la relación de pareja. La metodología es cualitativa. Participaron 3 hombres de 29 años. Se realizó una entrevista semiestructurada y el análisis de contenido fue la estrategia para trabajar la información obtenida. Los resultados muestran algunos significados presentes en la vida de los participantes como el respetar y cuidar a las mujeres, sin embargo, construyen relaciones de pareja de forma violenta donde se va incorporando de manera naturalizada la agresión hacia ellos llegándose a sentir culpables. Se abre un espacio de reflexión a manera de conclusión, donde el género forma parte de un elemento constitutivo en términos relacionales, no obstante, es necesario analizar los procesos de aprendizaje en la construcción de las relaciones de pareja donde se incorporan episodios de violencia de manera “normal”. Planteando la necesidad de identificar y cuestionar el carácter de “naturalidad” de la violencia, siendo en el caso de los hombres una problemática presente que muchos no socializan, pues bajo el carácter de naturalidad pasa inadvertida como malestar, y de hacerlo, los pondría en evidencia ante el orden de género establecido |
| English abstract | Different studies about the violence in the relationship have been focused in repport the existence of violence from men to women; however, what happens when men are who receive violence from women? Few research about this topic, notorious absence of government programs, the social ignorance and the cultural pressures, have influenced to silence this social issue. This research was approached since the social constructionism, incorporating the gender perspective. The aim of this research was analyze the process of identity construction of men who have experienced violence in their relationship. The methodology used was qualitative. Three male of 29 years participated. A semi-structured interview was applied to the participants and with the information obtained a content analysis was carried out. The results showed some meanings present in the participants lives, such as respect and caring of the women, however, they build relationships in a violent way where themselves incorporate of a naturalized way the aggression towards them, arriving to feel guilty. It opens a space for the reflection in the form of a conclusion, since the gender is part of a constitutive element in relational terms; however, it is necessary analyze the learning processes in the construction of relationships where violence episodes are incorporated in a "normal". Raising the need to identify and question the character "natural" of the violence, being in the case of men a present problem that many do not socialize it, because under its naturalness character it goes unnoticed as discomfort, and in doing so, it would put them in evidence before the established gender order |
